The Organic World Congress is a global event held every three years. It gathers thousands of organic farmers, producers, researchers, advocates, and policy experts from around the world to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and policy dialogue.
While officially titled OWC 2026, the event is scheduled to take place in September of 2027. The Pre-Conferences and Bio-Tours will run from September 21–22, followed by the Main Event from September 23–25, and concluding with the IFOAM General Assembly on September 26–27.
The congress is designed for a diverse international audience, including global leaders, practitioners, researchers, and advocates in organic agriculture. Whether you are involved in organic production, scientific research, or agricultural policy, the event provides vital networking and learning opportunities to help build a more sustainable world.
No, attendance is open to anyone interested in the global organic sector. However, IFOAM members can enjoy a membership discount on the Organic World Congress. Additionally, eligible voting members have the opportunity to shape the organization’s direction by participating in the General Assembly.
Following the main congress, members of IFOAM – Organics International come together for the General Assembly. During this time, members discuss motions submitted by the World Board and eligible voting members cast their final votes.
